“I would describe my experience at the St. Joseph Retreat Center as being very much at home. There is a peaceful presence and a warm, inviting atmosphere that immediately says welcome. Nothing has been left to chance—from the beauty of the setting and well cared for grounds to the comfortable rooms, all tastefully furnished, even the choice of color seems intentional to the overall goal of hospitality. The Sisters and their staff were friendly; the meals were varied and all delicious. I appreciated the summer freshness and abundance of fruit and vegetables. The chapel is situated at the center of the house and says so clearly that we choose to keep Jesus at the center of our lives and all we do. I want to thank Sister Josita for inviting me to share in the ministry of this special place. I enjoyed my week and received so much more than I have. That’s divine charity.”
