Lectio Divina Prayer Hour
October 18 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am EDT
Time: 9:30 – 10:30 AM
Fee: $30 per person/per session
Facilitated by Fran Tassone
“Come away and pray awhile” is a phrase originating from Jesus’s invitation to his disciples in the Gospel of Mark (6:31), urging them to withdraw to a quiet, isolated pace to rest and rejuvenate amidst the busyness of ministry. These words emphasize the importance of taking time for spiritual renewal, self-care, and seeking God’s presence away from the demands of the world, allowing for personal refreshment and a deeper connection with Him. Using the prayer practice of Lectio Divina, the divine reading of Scripture, including music, poems and imaginative prayer, this offering is an invitation to gather together in a sacred, safe and reliable space allowing God’s loving voice to speak to us and call us into deeper friendship.
Please be aware that everyone is welcome to stay after sessions to spend time in our chapel …
